What to Look For When Buying a New Hot Tub. Why are You Buying the Hot Tub?

Simple question, why are you buying a new hot tub? Relaxation? Therapy? Entertaining? All of the Above? When you can answer this question, you can more ably find a hot tub that fits into that category. 

If the reason that you're getting a new hot tub is to help relax, you've got the right idea. Hot water with some jets pushing that water will make you feel great. There's no doubt about that. All hot tubs will be able to do this for you. With that being said, you may not need a super powerful hot tub with lots of pumps and jets. You'll probably just want a tub that's hot and ready when you want to use it. You can get this from 110v hot tubs and 220v hot tubs. Now, if you're the type of person that likes to soak in your tub for long periods of time, the 110v tubs in the colder months may not be the tub for you. 

If you're looking for a new hot tub to help soothe your aches and pains and give you therapeutic benefits, then you may want to look at some more powerful hot tub options. There are many hot tubs available that will have multiple and more powerful pumps that will allow for more jets. By getting more jets in the tub, there are more areas that will provide you with hydrotherapy. When looking at these more powerful options, you don't always have to get a bigger hot tub, but oftentimes the powerful tubs will be larger. Keep this in mind when looking for your new therapeutic hot tub. 

Do you entertain a lot and a new hot tub will just be another thing to do at your home? That is a very common reason that we hear people tell us when getting their new tub. If that's the case, you may be looking for bigger models, so you've got the room for everyone. Looking to actually seat 5-6 people will require a large hot tub, for sure. Folks that are looking for a hot tub to entertain often like to get additional features such as LED lighting and Bluetooth packages that make the hot tub even more of the place to be. 

When it comes down to it, "All of the Above" is the most common reason that we hear for folks getting a new hot tub. Sometimes you may want to just relax in hot water.
